Mr. Peters is beginning his fourth year teaching Science and his first year teaching Social Studies at Reek Elementary.  He has a Bachelor's of Science in Social Studies from UW-Whitewater and is currently completing his Master's degree in Environmental Education.

Mr. Peters has planned and implemented Reek's Outdoor Education Program, where students learn and explore their natural ecosystems.  Students also get a chance to learn skills in archery, boating, orienteering, tracking, cooking, pioneering, and fire building.  In addition to environmental education, Mr. Peters implements the Project Lead the Way curriculum focused on STEM activities.

Mr. Peters is very excited to begin teaching Social Studies where students will be able to use technology to learn about world history, explore different cultures, and understand American history up to 1945.  For Social Studies, students will build castles, research mythology, create their own civilizations, and write their own policies.

Mr. Peters has worked in education since 2011.  Before that, he was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps from 2000-2011.  He has been a wrestling coach for five years, and enjoys exercising and cooking in his spare time.
