Mrs Ruhl is the reading interventionist and librarian at Reek Elementary School. She attended the University of Wisconsin -Whitewater where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. She also earned her Master of Arts in Reading Instruction Degree from George Williams College.
Mrs. Ruhl is passionate about literacy. Literacy is the ability to read, view, write, design, speak and listen in a way that allows us to communicate effectively and to make sense of the world. Quite literally, a student’s reading and writing skills are portals to and catalysts for whole worlds of learning. To make these worlds accessible to children, Mrs. Ruhl teaches children how to use strategies and goals to improve their reading.
Mrs. Ruhl leads the Scripps National Spelling Bee, the National Geographic Bee, and SumoBot Robotics at Reek Elementary School.
Mrs. Ruhl is a member of the International Literacy Association and the Wisconsin State Reading Association.
